Joy had a peaceful night and is doing well on her tracheostomy tube. Her status is largely unchanged, but she appears more peaceful and comfortable with the cervical collar and the oral tubes removed. I will post a more detailed update of our day later, but wanted to share the following.
I’ve been playing a variety of Joy’s favorite classical music including her favorite Edvard Grieg album. We never tired of listening to the Holberg Suite and enjoyed it in concert and recording. While I can’t listen without tears, I hope she is hearing and enjoying it with found memories.
In fact, as I write this, I’d invite you to get a copy of Grieg’s Holberg Suite and think of Joy as you listen. I know that would cheer her heart to think of people enjoying the Holberg Suite while thinking fondly of her.
