Good evening and thank you again for your faithful attention to Joy’s journey and your faithful prayers for her healing. Joy had another good day of therapy and the best part being her second shower since having her staples out. Today was my turn to assist Joy with her shower but really she basically did it all herself, another example of her amazing determination in pursuit of healing and restoration.
While we are certainly thankful and overjoyed at the pace and scope of Joy’s progress, the one area that continues to be the most challenging for her is the struggle with language, her aphasia. She can be having a taxing but very rewarding and encouraging time in OT and PT only to undone to tears as she struggles to understand and to find the words to express herself in a Speech therapy session.
So in addition to your faithful prayers for Joy’s, physical, neurological, and emotional healing, I’m asking you to pray specifically and earnestly for healing from her aphasia, which would be a true miracle because the area of the brain that was most affected by the bleed was the language center.
