Good evening, thank you all so much for your faithful prayers and commitment to follow Joy’s progress so diligently. Joy has been stable throughout the day. She began running a fever in the night and was placed on antibiotics. The fever broke around one and her temperature has been normal since.
She had the dressing removed from her brain flap suture line, but the pressure has remained too high to have the flap replaced yet. Having the pressure lower so that the flap can be replaced would be one of our biggest prayer requests, because when that is done, it clears the way for potential transfer back to Minnesota.
It never feels adequate for me to just say thank you for your prayers because they mean so much us, but they really do.
