While we are still in the ICU, our day yesterday felt more connected and purposeful.

Inpatient rehabilitation, or inpatient rehab for short, is a specialized program requiring strict criteria to be eligible.
In many ways, rehab therapists feel like we function as a motivational-tour-guide.
It was another day of roller coaster experiences which saw more emotional challenges with Joy’s ever increasing awareness.
We had a good night together in the ICU. Joy appeared to rest well and comfortably.
our primary focus is on Joy’s waking fully from surgery and starting to heal from her cranioplasty and mend her many other wounds.
We treasure your prayers for Joy’s cranioplasty surgery at 10:30.
As we near the 1 month mark since the accident, I wanted to share some personal thoughts as I have reflected on the journey we are on.
Yesterday was largely a repeat of the day before with the added joy, of seeing Joy, take some beautiful baby steps with both feet.
I just signed the paperwork authorizing Joy’s brain flap surgery, her cranioplasty, for Monday morning!
I wish I had an update to share regarding Joy’s early morning CT, but so far no word on any observations or decisions.
We had another positive day which we certainly attribute to your faithful prayers and heartfelt concern.
